Develop a music streaming app that could stand out in a highly competitive market, dominated by apps such as Spotify and Apple Music. To do this, we needed an original and inventive approach, whether it's offering exclusive content, personalized playlists, or unique features that make listening to music more exciting and enjoyable.
A music streaming app that invites users to embark on a journey of musical exploration. With its global focus, Odyssey enables music enthusiasts to discover a diverse range of genres, artists, and songs from around the world.
One of the app's unique features is its country search functionality, allowing users to dive deep into local music scenes and uncover hidden gems. Moreover, the app includes a song lyric feature that fosters a deeper connection between users and their favorite tracks.
To understand the user journey in music apps, I interviewed individuals with varying needs and made a user flow chart based on my own experience with Spotify. By visualizing the user's steps, I identified areas for improvement and designed a user-friendly music app that addressed diverse needs.
Below are some interview responses that ultimately shaped the development of this project.
Based on my research, I developed user personas and a user flow chart that prioritized ease of use. With this foundation in place, I was able to focus on creating a unique music app that allowed users to discover local artists and genres, while also incorporating a song lyric feature to enhance their connection to the music.
During the development stage of the app, I brainstormed keywords that represented its essence: community, travel, adventure, and connection with nature. While "Wanderlust" came to mind initially, I aimed for a more unique name.
I explored words from different languages related to the concepts, ultimately choosing "Odyssey" to perfectly capture the app's purpose as a transformative and adventurous journey.
I conducted user testing with the individuals I initially interviewed to determine whether their issues were resolved in the final prototype.
It was crucial for me to design for them and not myself, and I remained open to feedback throughout the process. User testing helped me identify previously unnoticed issues.

The current interface suffered from multiple usability issues, causing frustration among users as they navigated the web portal. The primary aim of this design challenge was to modernize and elevate the user experience for an outdated student loans portal.
To address these issues and create a user-friendly interface. I completed user and competitive research, created a mood board for inspiration, and sought feedback throughout every design revision.
This approach allowed me to create a modern design solution that meets the industry's current standards, holding up against their competitors while preserving the brand's identity.
I began the project by deconstructing the original web page, to identify any necessary improvements and to better understand the structural details to ensure the inclusion of crucial elements.
After conducting competitive research, I gained insight into the industry's aesthetics and identified key themes for my design.
Based on insights from the user interview, I developed a user persona to further understand their needs and struggles when using student loan websites.
The main goal identified was to provide users with a simple and efficient journey for viewing and paying their student loan, ensuring easy access to crucial account information during quick browsing.
To ensure alignment with industry standards, I incorporated common characteristics by creating a moodboard that inspired a new user interface design with a trusted, clean, and modern aesthetic.
Bringing the focus towards the menu and navigation bar, I separated them by adopting a three-column layout instead of two, as I found that combining them in one column detracted attention from both elements.
After creating my design toolkit, I crafted the first design by prioritizing the loan balance as the central focus and consolidating additional content into a notification bar.
Seeking feedback, I aimed to resolve any previous design issues. Leading me to adjust the navigation bar structure to enhance visibility, and keep the colors choices for the sub menu to maintain familiarity for returning users.

A brand that blends mythical health practices with cannabis cultivation by infusing crystals into the soil. The visual design of the packages needed to convey different states of mind while maintaining a consistent brand identity that would appeal to consumers.
Drawing inspiration from the brand's unique and mystical features, I developed a cohesive visual system that reflected the brand's distinct values and practices.
Through a carefully curated mood board, I incorporated gradients and packaging designs that exuded a clean, trustworthy, and elegant aesthetic, catering to a specific target audience. The end result was a cohesive visual system that reflected the brand's values and unique qualities.
Initially, I planned to use a gradient mesh to create a crystal-inspired color palette for each product. However, I felt that the packaging lacked depth and needed further improvement.
To enhance the design, I incorporated crystal texture as a design element and experimented with typography to add more visual interest.
After refining the design further, I made changes to the logotype to align it with the overall visual design. Additionally, I created icons for each package that represented the strain of cannabis used in the product.
To maintain an elegant aesthetic for the packaging, I chose not to use playful typography and instead utilized an iridescent foil treatment for each icon.
